The slide incorporates dovetailed tables and saddles with adjustable gibs, allowing for the elimination of play and ensuring precise control. Handwheels are meticulously graduated in .001-inch increments for inch slides and .01 mm increments for metric slides, facilitating fine adjustments. The mounting of the slide is versatile, with provisions for attachment from either the bottom or the top, using the provided angle clamps for secure installation.
The weight capacity of the slide is approximately 10 pounds, contingent upon the distribution and location of the weight on the table. For optimal performance and longevity, it is recommended to maintain the dovetail and screw components with light oil lubrication. The leadscrews feature a hardened rolled thread, and the backlash nuts, made of brass, are adjustable to compensate for wear.
Note: Do not use WD-40 as a lubricant on these slides, as it will remove the anodized coating from the parts.
