The Sherline Round Cartridge Spindle ER-16, Cog Belt is a precision-engineered component designed for industrial applications. The spindle body is crafted from bar stock steel and features a durable black oxide finish. It incorporates a steel spindle shaft with a central hole measuring 10mm in diameter, allowing for versatile usage in various machining tasks.

This spindle is equipped with an ER-16 spindle nose thread and taper, providing compatibility with a wide range of tooling options. The spindle is paired with a 30-tooth cog belt pulley configuration, enhancing its adaptability for different operational requirements. A notable feature of this spindle is its lifetime lubricated bearings, which are Class 5 rated for superior accuracy, tighter tolerances, and smoother operation. These bearings ensure quieter movement and cooler running, making them ideal for high-precision tasks.

The headstock bearings are designed to support continuous speeds up to approximately 4,000 RPM, with the capability to reach up to 10,000 RPM with a slightly adjusted preload setting. This flexibility makes the spindle suitable for a variety of machining speeds and applications. The spindle is intended to be mounted in a 2.250″2.251″ diameter hole, ensuring a secure and stable installation.
