Unlike conventional lathes, this model functions as a motorized turning axis that is mounted to a CNC router, making it particularly suitable for the uniform lengths of two-piece pool cue sections.
The split-bed design features a headstock attachment bed that is mounted directly onto a CNC router table, with the tailstock attachment bed positioned at an optimal distance to suit the specific length of the pool cue being crafted. Both the headstock and tailstock beds are precision ground to ensure uniform thickness, facilitating accurate alignment when mounted. The setup includes a headstock with a motor unit, a pivot pin, and a headstock key, providing a robust and reliable foundation for cue turning.
The lathe is equipped with a 2.5-inch 3-jaw chuck and a spur driver, which secure the stock in place during the turning process. The pool cue live center in the tailstock ensures stability and precision, while the toggle-switch dust cover protects the components from debris. The assembly is completed with a pool cue lathe CNC bed hold-down, ensuring the entire setup remains securely in place during operation.
