The Sherline Morse #1 Taper Tailstock is specifically engineered to cater to the needs of pen makers utilizing Sherline lathes. This tailstock is compatible with Morse #1 taper pen-making accessories, providing a reliable solution for those engaged in pen turning. It is available with either standard or zero adjustable handwheels, and users can choose between inch and metric graduations to suit their precision requirements.

This tailstock is not intended for use with larger-size tailstock chucks, as the machine is not designed to handle the forces exerted by such tools. The design focuses on supporting pen-making accessories, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of the equipment. The tailstock features a laser-engraved spindle with a ‘0’ line, which begins approximately 1.3 inches (33mm) from the end of the spindle. This marking assists in accurately positioning the Morse taper shank of an accessory within the spindle.
