The Atlas Scientific 1/4″ Pre-Filter is designed to complement the Atlas Scientific 1/4″ flow meter, ensuring optimal performance by preventing particulate matter from obstructing the device. This pre-filter is essential when water containing debris is expected to pass through the flow meter, as it effectively filters out particles of at least 80 microns in size.
Without the use of this pre-filter, the paddle wheel blades within the flow meter may become jammed by debris. While such blockages do not cause damage to the flow meter, they impede the ability to obtain accurate flow readings until the obstruction is cleared.
