The A-Star 32U4 Prime SV microSD is a versatile programmable board designed around the ATmega32U4 AVR microcontroller, adopting the widely recognized Arduino form factor. This configuration includes microSD support and preinstalled female headers, facilitating compatibility with numerous Arduino shields. The board’s power management system is a standout feature, allowing efficient operation from a wide voltage range of 5 V to 36 V, regulated by an ISL85410 switching step-down converter. This ensures stable performance and the ability to power additional devices.

The microcontroller offers native full-speed USB capabilities, enabling it to function as a virtual serial/COM port interface and emulate a mouse or keyboard when connected to a computer. This enhances its versatility compared to boards relying on USB-to-serial adapters.
