The Sherline Chuck Jaws 3/16″ for Laser Pin Jaw Chuck (Set of 3) w/ Pins are specifically designed for laser marking applications, compatible with 3-jaw chucks manufactured after 2014. These jaws feature three pin hole locations per jaw, accommodating 3/16″ hard-steel dowel pins, which are available in lengths of 1″ and 1.5″. The jaws can securely hold round parts with an outer diameter of up to 3.7 inches and an inner diameter as small as 0.54 inches.
The flat tops of the jaws provide a stable surface for part location, ensuring precision during laser marking. These jaws are not intended for machining or applications requiring high-pressure clamping, as they are designed to hold parts with a finger-tight grip. This feature allows for effective laser marking on the exterior of the parts while maintaining a secure hold.
Each set includes three hardened jaws and two sets of three 3/16″ hardened steel dowel pins, each 1/2″ in length. The pins can be adjusted to provide a longer gripping area, and they are easily removable for repositioning. For secure pin placement, silicone or Loctite can be used to hold the pins in place, with the option to permanently lock them for designated uses.
