The Sherline 2.5 4-Jaw Chucks – 14mm x 1mm chuck offers a blend of convenience and functionality by integrating the user-friendly features of a 3-jaw chuck with the versatility of a 4-jaw chuck. This design allows for automatic centering of both square and round stock, enhancing operational efficiency. The chuck is particularly adept at gripping thin-wall tubing, distributing the load across four points instead of three, thereby providing a more secure hold without the risk of crushing the material.

The mechanism of the chuck involves a knurled outer diameter that, when turned, moves all four jaws simultaneously. This synchronized movement ensures precise centering, achieving accuracy within a few thousandths of an inch. The chuck is capable of accommodating parts ranging from 3/32 inches in diameter up to 1-3/16 inches with the jaws in their standard position. For larger components, the jaws can be reversed to hold parts up to 2-1/4 inches in diameter.
