The Digilent USB-2416-4AO Thermocouple & Voltage Measurement USB DAQ is designed for applications requiring a high number of channels for voltage or thermocouple measurements. It features a versatile array of analog and digital input/output options, along with counter functions, making it suitable for complex data acquisition tasks. The device includes 32 single-ended or 16 differential 16-bit analog inputs, which are capable of measuring both voltage and thermocouples, with thermocouples being measured in differential mode. It operates at a sample rate of 1 kS/s and is equipped with four analog outputs, eight digital I/O, and two counter inputs.
The USB-2416-4AO supports a wide range of thermocouple types, including J, K, R, S, T, N, E, and B, and offers multiple input voltage ranges to accommodate various measurement needs. For users requiring additional input capacity, an optional expansion module, the AI-EXP32, is available, providing an extra 32 single-ended or 16 differential analog inputs and 16 digital I/O.
Software support for the USB-2416-4AO includes DAQami, which facilitates data logging, visualization, and signal generation. This software allows users to view data in real-time or post-acquisition on customizable displays. Additionally, drivers are provided for integration with popular applications and programming languages such as Visual C++, Visual C#, Visual Basic.NET, DASYLab, LabVIEW, Linux, and Python.
