The Basic ESC 500 – BlueBoat is a high-power electronic speed controller (ESC) designed for three-phase brushless motors, such as Blue Robotics thrusters and motors. It is particularly suited for environments with limited airflow and cooling, such as within an ROV enclosure. This ESC is available in two versions: a standard version for general applications and a BlueBoat version specifically for the BlueBoat USV.

The Basic ESC 500 is engineered to handle the high power requirements of the T5 Thruster, while also being compatible with the T2 Thruster. It features a robust and compact design, capable of forward and reverse rotation to provide bidirectional thrust. The controller is optimized for high efficiency and low heat generation, making it ideal for installations where cooling is minimal.

The standard version of the Basic ESC 500 includes a male XT9 power connector and female 4mm bullet connectors for the thruster, along with a set of male 4mm bullet connectors for installation. The BlueBoat version, on the other hand, is equipped with spade connectors for power and an MT6 connector for the motor. Additionally, the BlueBoat version includes a 5V 5A power supply to support other electronic components.
