The configuration of the right and left wheels is crucial for the proper functioning of a mecanum drive system. The right wheel is identified by the direction of its rollers, which point up and to the right when viewed from the front. For optimal performance, the wheels should be arranged in an ‘X’ pattern when viewed from above, with the right wheel positioned at the front right and rear left of the robot.
