The Pololu VL53L7CX Time-of-Flight Distance Sensor w/ Voltage Regulator (350cm) is a sophisticated carrier/breakout board designed to facilitate the use of STs VL53L7CX laser-ranging sensor. This sensor is capable of delivering fast and accurate distance measurements up to 3.5 meters. It communicates through a digital IC interface, ensuring seamless integration with various microcontroller platforms. The sensor boasts an impressively wide 60 square field of view, equivalent to 90 diagonally, which allows for comprehensive spatial scanning and the ability to measure absolute distances to multiple targets simultaneously. This feature is particularly useful for creating depth maps, as the sensor can provide data with up to 8 resolution zones.
The board is equipped with a 3 V linear regulator and level-shifters, enabling it to operate across a range of input voltages from 2.5 V to 5 V. The standard 0.1 pin spacing is designed for compatibility with common solderless breadboards and 0.1 perfboards, facilitating easy prototyping and integration into projects.
